A serene and inspiring
communal working environment

Clean, modern, clutter-free
ceramics studio

Our well-lit, purpose-built communal studios - main studio and brand new front studio - are furnished with state-of-the-art equipment – total of 36 XL Bailey wheels, a stainless steel NorthStar extruder, and a 7-foot Bailey slab roller. We have several large worktables and counters, color-coded wedging tables, triple sinks, spray booth with compressed air and excellent ventilation. We provide a full spectrum of Cone 10 studio glazes and oxides and will soon be adding mid-range firing for members only. Glazes are tested on multiple clay bodies and samples are clearly displayed. A large work-in-progress damp storage room with shelves is available for both members and students. The steady flow of work from inception to final glazing is encouraged to avoid clogging of shelf space. Our studio is equipped with 2 brand new Geil gas kilns for reduction firing to Cone 10. We have a total of 5 electric kilns for Cone 05 oxidation bisque, low-fire glaze and china paint, mid-range firings for members only, and gold luster firings.

The studio kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine. The adjacent landscaped patio has a view of the San Gabriel Mountains, conducive to frequent relaxing alfresco breaks.
